Novustika discovered a new gas deposit during an extraction of oil

Last Monday 23rd of November a new natural gas deposit was found on the Island Tikor during an extraction of oil, near the city of Lipuga.

It happened in the middle of the day, and it was noticed by two workers who had experience in the gas sector.

“We were extracting the oil from a small oil field near the Island Tikor’s sea, when we noticed something not common in the oil, something that we knew was different.” said one of the

men, Amal Pukin, who spread the news; “After noticing this, we were both almost sure that we discovered something important for the future of Novustika, so we warned our head to confirm our assumption.”

Those men, like most of the Novustikis, were aware of the fact that natural gas deposits and oil deposits are often near one another, because the environment where they can be found is very similar; gas and oil are often in the same composition and they both derive from

fossils.

This natural gas deposit seemed huge to people that discovered it, but these days a team of experts is studying the zone and the scientific results will be available at the end of the week,

after some excavation and calculations.

We expect that this natural gas deposit will be able to produce 25% of the current gas production, and the fact that it’s near the oil deposits will help the process.

However, we can already say that this is probably one of the greatest gas deposits discovered in the last ten decades, and thanks to this great finding Novustika will be able again to have a strong voice in international decisions.

We are famous all over UBN for these resources, and we need to be aware of the behaviour of the other countries, because we cannot permit them to use and exploit us and take advantage; on the contrary, we have to use our natural deposits to be competitive in the UBN economy.

We also want to use our gas with restraint, because Novustika loves the UBN and their inhabitants: we can’t let our precious environment be destroyed by human actions because we firmly want to continue living with other animal and plant species.

We are very rooted in our territory that is part of our culture and tradition, and since we have the most important gas and oil deposits in UBN, we have the duty to protect what we love

the most. In order to do this, we will export just a fixed number of resources to other UBN countries, we will use a little part of it for Novustika and keep the rest for the future, for big economic

crisis or emergencies.

We strongly believe in parsimony, because even though we could take advantage of this new situation, we know that our citizens agree with us in the cultural matters: the UBN are in trouble, our planet is in trouble and we must protect our future generations and all the future species trying to reduce the consumption of oil and gas that damage our entire system.
